Content that Converts

If your content isn’t converting, it’s usually not because you need better graphics or images (although that could be part of the problem).

It’s because you haven’t decided what you want to be known for.

Before you create content, you need to clarify two things:

  1. What’s working in your business right now?

  2. Where are you trying to grow?

Your niches should reflect that.

Not trends. Not random inspiration. Not what your competitor is posting.

Your niches should be chosen based on your business direction.

Choose 3 Niche Focus Areas

Content should be narrowed down into three focused niches.

For example:

  • A core service or offer

  • An area of expertise

  • A perspective or brand differentiator

The exact niches will look different for every business.

A photographer’s niches will look different than a CPA’s.

A boutique’s will look different than a marketing agency’s.

The key is this:

When someone visits your page, they should quickly understand what you’re about.

If you talk about everything, you’re known for nothing.

For example, for my marketing and social media business I focus on: social media & marketing tips, local/traditional marketing, and business strategy.

Now Layer in Content Categories

Once you’ve chosen your three niches, every piece of content should fall into one of four categories.

And here’s the important part:

Any niche can include any category.

You don’t need one niche for education and one niche for promotion.

Instead, each niche can rotate between the following:

1. Engaging Content

Designed to spark conversation.

  • Questions

  • Polls

  • “This or that”

  • Opinion prompts

  • Relatable scenarios

This builds interaction and visibility. It also helps bring in new followers.

2. Entertaining Content

Designed to make people feel something.

  • Humor

  • Storytelling

  • Behind-the-scenes

  • POV posts

  • Relatable moments

This builds connection and memorability.

3. Educational Content

Designed to provide clarity.

  • Tips

  • How-to posts

  • Common mistakes

  • Myth-busting

  • Explanations

This builds authority and trust.

4. Promotional Content

Designed to drive action.

  • Service breakdowns

  • Testimonials

  • Case studies

  • FAQs

  • Clear calls to action

This builds revenue.

How It Works Together

Let’s say one of your niches is your core service or product.

Inside that one niche, you could create:

  • An engaging post asking about common frustrations in that realm.

  • An entertaining reel showing a relatable problem or behind the scenes with it.

  • An educational carousel giving tips on using this niche or how it helps.

  • A promotional post highlighting a success story.

Same niche. Different content categories.

That’s strategy.

And Then: Consistency

You don’t need to post constantly.

You need to post consistently.

There is a difference.

For most, 2–4 times per week is more effective than posting five times in one day and disappearing for two weeks.

Consistency builds recognition.

Recognition builds trust.

Trust builds sales.

Content that converts...

isn’t about posting more.

It’s about:

  • Choosing intentional topics aligned with your business direction.

  • Rotating between engaging, entertaining, educational, and promotional content.

  • Showing up consistently.

When your niches are clear, and your categories are balanced, your content stops feeling random and starts working for you.
